I uninstalled the "USB receiver" in Device Manager and removed the device from the USB port. I copied all the C:\Windows\inf\usb* files from my VM over to my original copy of Windows, overwriting them in the process. I installed another copy of Windows 7 in a VM (Virtualbox). Let me document what I did, in case others run in to the same issue. I have emailed Logitech support.įinally got it working. I did try plugging the receiver into other USB ports on the M/B, no luck though. I have Win 7 SP1 installed & have all updates (post SP1) - Thanks for sharing this information. However if I hit F8 and go into the Win 7 Repair mode, the mouse and keyboard work. It doesn't work in Win 7 safe mode as well. I have tried connecting to other USB ports on the desktop as well. Since it works in XP & Linux on the same machine, it definitely is not a hardware issue. I have been trying to get this working for the past day & am on the verge of returning the device back.
